Following the commitee meeting, our team brainstormed some possible solutions for measuring cardiac output. Here is a list of some of the ideas.

  • Dye densitometry

  • Multiple pulse oximeters

  • esCOO and ECOM monitors

  • EKG in combination with dual pulse oximeters

  • Pressure-volume loop

Ultimately, our team decided that an application of the Bramwell-Hill equation would be the most effective way of measuring cardiac output.
